Other details: |
Original May 1970 build with matching numbers LS5 454ci/390hp Coupe in original Daytona Yellow (984) with a Black (400) interior. Heavily Factory optioned with: Power Windows (A31), Rear Window Defroster (C50), Air Conditioning (C60), Power Brakes (J50), 454ci, 390hp engine (LS5), Turbo Hydra-Matic Automatic Transmission (M40), Tilt-Telescopic Steering Column (N37), Power Steering (N40), Alarm System (UA6) AM-FM Radio stereo (U79). Only 1,281 Corvettes were produced with Rear Window Defroster in 1970. The block also has a factory ordered or dealer fitted block heater which we are trying to verify with the original owner. The option was listed in 1968/69 as Block Heater (K05) but doesn't appear on the 1970 options list. |

Car history: |
Originally delivered through RICE Chevrolet INC in Manhasset New York on the 12th July 1970 and sold by salesman T Rice on or about the 25th of July 1970. This dealership closed in 1980. The car spent its life on the American east coast with owners in Indiana, Michigan and Pennsylvania and was imported into Australia from Florida via an online Corvette sales yard in 2013/14. I have a now almost complete history after some extensive research and commentary from previous owners. This includes lots of documentation, Title certificates, original owners manual, Warranty Card, build sheet and heaps of receipts. |
